Paul Ryan: At War For The Soul of America
July 29, 2011

An Honest Fighter

Thursday, brilliant Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan took the floor of the House and told the truth.   He said what few in Washington are willing to utter:  42 cents out of every dollar spent in Washington is BORROWED.  We are borrowing money from China and other countries to RUN OUR GOVERNMENT.  Ryan explains why he, and many other U.S. Congressman are not willing to play ball with the White House, why they will not budge, and why responsible men and women in Congress simply will not stand by while the Obama administration tries to tie an even heavier anvil around the necks of our children.

It’s a war for the soul of America.

Paul Ryan has agreed to support House Speaker John Boehner’s budget cut plan currently on the table and Michelle Malkin reports Ryan’s reasons:

“The Budget Control Act takes an important step in the right direction by cutting $1.2 trillion in government spending over the next decade. Critically, it does this without resorting to Senator Reid’s gimmicks and without imposing the president’s preferred tax increases on American families and the struggling economy.

This bill is far from perfect. We still have a long way to go toward getting the key drivers of our debt — especially federal health-care spending — under control. But considering that House Republicans control only one-half of one-third of the federal government, I support this reasonable, responsible effort to cut government spending, avoid a default, and help create a better environment for job creation.”

This is a must watch:
