Don't Bother Sending Junk Like This To The Kitchen Cabinet..We Reject It
Passion and enthusiasm for a cause is wonderful, but Virginia’s GOP went too far this week with a Halloween image on its website and in a mass e-mail. The coming year is going to be contentious enough, we don’t need to allow violent images or concepts to enter the fray. Internet images spread ideas to thoughtful people and some…not so thoughtful. Let’s be Conservatives With Class.

MemoliOctober 31, 2011, 4:01 p.m.Virginia Republicans were in apology mode Monday over a Halloween-themed email that depicted a zombie-like President Obamawith what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.The northern Virginia-based Too Conservative blog first flagged the mailer from the local Republicans in Loudoun County promoting a local holiday parade. It also offers a ghoulish caricature of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi D-San Francisco).“I am no fan of Barack Obama, but putting up a photo of him as a zombie with a bullet hole in his head?” the blog stated. “Someone should send this to the US Secret Service.”
Virginia Democrats sought to use the incident to put Republicans on the defensive just over a week before state legislative elections, calling on candidates in tight races to condemn the mailer.
A spokesman for Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell told the Washington Post that the email was “shameful and offensive” and that those responsible should immediately apologize.
“The disgusting image used today on a mass e-mail has no place in our politics. Ever,” Virginia Republican Party Chairman Pat Mullins told the paper.
i agree that we do not need to go into this direction, But i want to know when someone will look into The Palosie way of hiring illegals to work in her vinyard. Look more into Grants here family and friends are getting. Why do we not expose this this type of suff, or is it also out of bounds for your group.
I don’t think they went to far. I think PC constraints are no longer applicable. I think the left has lied and slandered this country into a corner where it is fight or die. The Media and Big journalism are leading the charge towards Tyranny of the private sector. The foundation of our Liberty is under attack and we are tarred as extremists weather or not it is deserved. Why are you worried about a silly picture when we have mass unemployement, rioters spewing hate and destruction in our cities. The left are like the Arab’s it’s OK to lie if you are not one of us. And the end justifies the means. Regardless of weather or not I agree with the end you have planned for me. The arrogance is astonishing. That picture is addressing a segment of the population who believes the Ideals of this president are lethal for America. Not to far for me.
