Serious Times Demand Serious Leaders
November 4, 2011
It was simply painful to watch President Obama at the G-20 Summit this morning. Leading a press conference to summarize discussions with European leaders, it was crystal clear that Barack Obama didn’t want to be there. We didn’t want him to be there. The U.S. President held out no hope for our allies. No leadership skills to unite the others. For the first time ever, the Leader of the Free World didn’t really have a seat at the table. Obama pathetically shared his own reforms and lack of growth in the U.S., but his track record and the lack of confidence of U.S. markets in his own presidency spoke for itself. It was clear that European leaders did not see Obama as either 1- a problem solver or 2- an international leader.
Watch for yourself. Try to imagine Ronald Reagan reading the same pages…….
Reports out this week indicate more concern than ever that Iran is closer to having nuclear weapons. Israel is poised to strike. China is the first call of our desperate European allies. Meanwhile, the giant Democratic brain trust: Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and their hand-picked presidential place-holder Barack Obama, have stolen taxpayer money to bail out union votes at General Motors. They have used sacred TARP money to sprinkle around the country and gift building contracts to
friendly supporters. They successfully bullied through a corrupt health care program which will bury Americans in another 1 Trillion dollars in debt.
Back at home, latest polls sustain Herman Cain and show him tied or almost tied with Mitt Romney. Newt Gingrich jumped up to 14% in the latest Rasmussen poll because even the soundbites of the former Speaker of the House sound better than anything coming from The White House. Americans are scrambling to find a candidate, and especially a leader who breeds confidence.
These are serious times. We need serious leaders. We are one year away from having the sacred opportunity to again determine the occupant of The White House. The safety and economic security of the world depends on the fiscal health of the United States of America. We must keep our attention focused on the urgent responsibility of replacing Barack Obama. The young, inexperienced and baffled president’s biggest crime isn’t all the money that he has wasted, or just his sheer lack of leadership.
His greatest failing is that he has made Americans lose confidence in their country.
