Karl Rove Says Obama “On A Downward Spiral”
September 15, 2011

Every Day Is Now...A Rough Day

Downward spiral pretty much sums it up.  It’s a wonder the President can get up every morning.  Each day another attack, another revelation, another new and disappointing poll, job numbers setting historic record lows, food stamps hitting historic highs.  When President Obama hugged President Bush on 9-11, don’t you wish you knew what was whispered?  Does he blame all this on President Bush?  Or does Barack Obama realize that neither he, nor his staff, have a clue about how to run a 21st century White House and a global economy?

That’s the heart of it.  We have no one in the White House with the skills for our time.

Republicans, for all of our faults, have a pool of experts in business, global trade, organizational management and with actual ADMINISTRATIVE skills who can plug into a department, or a government assignment and bring experience to the job.  Forgive the generalization, but it is damningly apparent that the Obama administration is filled with politicals and ideologues who might have passions for liberal social issues, but haven’t a clue about how to run something.

All this mismanagement and misdirection is now beginning to spill over into the coffee cups of Democrats.  Karl Rove writes today in the Wall Street Journal:

“The Obama presidency is now in a downward spiral. The economy has flat-lined, his poll numbers are plummeting, and Democratic leaders are turning on the president.

In a speech at Wayne State Community College last month, California’s Rep. Maxine Waters, a leader of the Congressional Black

American Crossroads' Karl Rove

Caucus, said of African-Americans, “We’re getting tired . . . we don’t know what the strategy is.” Oregon’s Rep. Peter A. DeFazio complained to the New York Times last week that “enthusiasm . . . has mostly evaporated . . . There is tremendous discontent.” In the same news story, Maryland Rep. Elijah E. Cummings said “The frustrations are real,” while Jon M. Ausman, a Democratic National Committee (DNC) member from Florida admitted that “If the election were held today, it would be extremely close” in the Sunshine State. “The alarms have already gone off in the Democratic grass roots,” added New York DNC member Robert Zimmerman. “If the Obama administration hasn’t heard them, they should check the wiring of their alarm system.”

All of this aching pales in comparison to the steady drumbeat of discontent among women who are pulling the economic locomotive in more American homes than ever.  We can’t work any harder than we are, we can’t stretch any further what we have, and our paychecks are being hijacked by amateurs on Pennsylvania Avenue…

…with their feet up on the furniture.
