There is something so refreshing, so candid, and so right about Chris Christie.   It is also hard to believe that he would change his view of himself, sacrifice the hearts of his children and time with them, and toss his wife into the destructive fish bowl of presidential politics…….

Right now.

Perhaps in four years.  Eight years would be perfect.  His family would be almost grown.  Listen to Governor Christie speaking honestly with Chris Wallace earlier this year:

Christie is reportedly thinking the whole possibility over…again and promises an answer in two weeks.    Governor Christie shows integrity in not stretching out speculation about his potential bid.   He could turn it into more of a campaign, keep his name in the national news, have reporters watching his every move.   But no.

You gotta love the guy.  A former U.S. prosecutor, he is nothing if not a straight-shooter.

Meanwhile GOP political strategists are desperate.  Governor Perry isn’t performing up to expectations, according to some.  Mitt Romney

continues to hit home runs in each debate, but there is still hesitation about his chances with hard Right Primary voters.   Ironic, as Mitt Romney  possesses  the strongest resume of any candidate on the national stage.  Herman Cain received some support this weekend winning the CPAC Straw Poll, but….but his campaign war chest won’t take him even through Iowa.

The race for the GOP nomination is still a pageant, and that suits the media just fine.
