Black Friday….is now THURSDAY

This Thanksgiving, instead of putting your feet up and watching football, you might want to pile into the car and go shop for big bargains.  Wal-Mart, Target, Kohl’s Toys R Us, Macy’s and other big retailers aren’t waiting until early Friday morning to start their pre-Christmas super sales.  This year, they’re swinging open their doors before the leftovers are put away!  Hungry for shoppers?  In 2011, DEFINITELY.

This Week’s GOP Horse Race

Good news…and bad news for the GOP field.  In advance of Tuesday night’s next GOP debate, Newt Gingrich is flying high.  He has passed Mitt Romney by 2 points this week.  Herman Cain has taken a beating in the polls since the revelations of alleged sexual harassment.  Rick Perry?  Hanging on, but just barely.  The week’s polls look encouraging for Newt…except for one number.  Of those polled, 42% believe that Mitt Romney will still ultimately be the GOP nominee.  Weigh the results for yourself!

DISASTER: SuperCommittee Fails To Cut Trillion From Budget

We’re trying to give thanks this week!  It is a struggle to find a way to be thankful for the log-jammed leadership currently serving us in Congress.  What part of CUT SPENDING do they not understand? The Congressional SuperCommittee tasked with cutting over one trillion dollars in federal spending is expected to announce today that they have FAILED.  And of course it’s Thanksgiving, and we can’t expect them to work through the holiday!

Most Frequently Stolen Passwords

Your password.  It’s probably a crafty combination of an old address, your first boyfriend’s last name, and your birthday?  If only we were all so calculating!  Too often, women in particular choose passwords that are easy to remember, and easy to break through. Promise your password isn’t, “password.”  Because according to Mashable.com, and Splashdata’s annual list of “worst internet passwords”, THAT tops the list of passwords NOT to use:

Occupy Wall Street: Resting In $700 Suites

Some of the Occupy Wall Street crowd apparently aren’t 100% authentic.  The New York Post caught up with two “protesters” who were actually camping out in $700 a night rooms at the posh “W” hotel, and then slamming police, and big business by day.  THANKS NEW YORK POST!  One protester used his American Express card….to just charge it.

Who Called The Police In The Penn State Scandal? A Woman.

The Kitchen Cabinet received this post today from Fox Sports, and thought it prescient:     “I have news for … any … man trying to rationalize McQueary’s behavior:    If that had been a woman, damn right, she runs into the shower to save the boy.   I am a mom. And what I know for sure after 2-1/2 years on that job is there is nothing more scary than the thought of your kid hurting…..

How To Get Rich Quick In Congress

Here’s how you start getting rich on Capitol Hill:  “First, $750,000 worth of stock in drug maker Teva Pharmaceuticals was added to their portfolios at around $50 a share. Once Obamacare passed, the value of the stock rose to $62 per share. Subsequently, in 2010, a portion of Teva holdings was dumped from the Kerry portfolio, resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in capital gains (exact profits are unclear because politicians are only required to report ranges, not exact dollar amounts).
