Walter Reed Hospital Closes With A Military Salute For Great Service

For the past 102 years, Washington’s Walter Reed Hospital has served hundreds of thousands of veterans and dozens of prominent leaders with the best medical care in America.  The hospital ceremoniously closed operations this week and will move operations to Bethesda, Maryland and become part of Navy operations.

The hospital opened its doors in 1902 to serve just ten wounded soldiers.  Today Walter Reed Hospital spans 72 buildings on i113 acres.  Read why this great institution which has served every U.S. president of the 20th century and beyond,  is leaving the Army and becoming a Navy installation.  Yes….it’s the money.
