The Morning Mix: A Sinking Feeling About Governor Perry, and….Michelle O and Michelle B
September 14, 2011

The major news outlets seem to be SIDESTEPPING the Michelle Obama video which broke last night revealing her boredom with the presentation of the flag on 9-11.  Politico?  Nothing.  Washington Post?  Nothing.  Watching the other majors.  Hope the WHITE HOUSE briefing will shed some light……

If the piece was edited…..let’s HEAR it from the First Lady.

——————————————————–

SEE THE FUTURE NOW…not one, but two special elections for congressional seats were LOST by the Democrats yesterday.  Congressman Wiener’s seat in New York goes to Republican Bob Turner…Nevada election goes to Mark Amodei, Republican.  Voters in both states want to send a message to White House.

—————————————————————————————-

A sinking feeling about Rick Perry, who has energized the GOP field in the past couple of weeks.  Political reporters are writing today that Perry and his wife Anita are “very plugged in” to the conduit of Texas money, and that Perry’s controversial decision about insisting teenage girls be inoculated against cervical cancer might be more about his close ties to a Texas drug company, than opt outs.  The opt out was very DIFFICULT at best for parents, and this might also be why Governor Perry regrets not putting the decision in the hands of the Republican legislature.  Disappointed?  We are.

“Perry served as chairman of the RGA in 2008 and again this year, until he decided to run for president. The group ranks among the governor’s biggest donors, giving his campaign at least $4 million over the past five years, according to Texans for Public Justice, a watchdog group.”    -Washington Post, Politico, USA Today, Michele Bachmann AND Sarah Palin challenge as well.

Obama Campaign strategists start ANOTHER defensive website this week.  That’s TWO in 24 hours.  You’ll Love it  www.fightthesmears.com

———————————————————-

Taxpayers holding the bag for $535 million in federal loans to an Obama pet project…Solyndra, solar power company in California that has gone under.  E-mail trail shows that  pressure was applied to approve the company’s extravagant project because the Vice President was coming for a press event……….

———————————————————

Jon Huntsman…trailing Gary Johnson now in the polls for President.  Who is Gary Johnson?  EXACTLY……

———————————————————

Karl Rove raises over $8 million for GOP in August.  Democrats?  $5 million.   Keep it up Karl.

———————————————————

Finally….Congresswoman Michele Bachmann overstepped a bit in her comments about “mental retardation” being a possible side affect of the HPV vaccine.  Political websites are holding her accountable.  When you’re on the national stage, you just can’t take ONE PERSON’s unverified anecdote about an immunization…and declare it as fact.  Pediatricians everywhere are cringing because that kind of extremist comment keeps LOTS of parents from considering ANY immunizations.  Even TB tests or Chicken Pox.  SHE’s ABSOLUTELY right about parents and parents only make that decision, but stop…..there.

  1. From the inception of her husband going public presidentally –M. O. has appeared not too engaged in OUR country and what we stand for.  I would love to see/read/hear that it is only “assumption” on our part.
