Only the uninformed thought any different.  Barack Obama was elected on a script, a stage, and a story…that wasn’t true.  The “Emperor”  has been protected by the media and by his handlers for four years.  Mitt Romney pulled back the drapes and almost completely disrobed Obama with his truth-telling in one of the most important debates ever in a presidential election.

It wasn’t a narrow victory for Romney.  Twitter feeds suggested that “if this was a prize fight, the ref would have called it.”  That’s how it felt to watch!  Members of The Kitchen Cabinet who were fortunate to be 12 rows off the stage, said that all present “felt history being made.”

Mitt Romney isn’t worried about history right now, just a race.  And he re-defined it in 90 minutes.  It was the first time that Romney jumped over the hurdle of the major media and spoke directly the American people.  When he finished….CBS instant polling indicated that Romney won the debate 2 – 1.

President Obama was either embarrassed, or too arrogant to look Mitt Romney in the eye as he tried to skate through his remarks.  But his entire performance was simply….awkward and weak.

The choice in this debate was clear. A new future, or more of our failed past.
