Eight Candidates Who Want Obama's Seat In The Oval Office

Why Republicans put themselves in the hands of Center-Left thinkers like Wolf Blitzer and CNN we will never know.  Can you imagine Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama, John Edwards, or John Kerry AGREEING to have Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck moderate a Democratic debate for the presidency?

Never.   Even so, the Tea Party Express and the format made for a great debate, interesting dialogue, lots of one-liners, and all in all, the best reality show on television right now!  Here are the highlights:

Texas Governor Rick Perry has a calm and a presence that is very effective.  Most are not aware but Governor Perry is termed out in his home state, so he needs a new job!  He has butted heads with Tea Partiers in his own state as well, not to mention the compulsive inoculations for teen girls which has not been popular among Texas voters.  Still, Perry leads in the polls and is more effective under pressure than we expected.

Former Governor Mitt Romney is considered to be a tough debater, and has enormous capacities for facts.  His economic experience

shows, and his staff is preparing him well with soundbites that hang in the air.  In a way Governor Perry is strong enough that he seems to be pushing a better performance out of Romney.  Mitt Romney always sounds like he has the goods, but for some reason, voters are not getting comfortable with him yet.

Michele Bachmann did herself a lot of good in the Tea Party debate in front of Tampa, Florida residents.  She looked better, had a sharper message, and perhaps, even had some rest.  Bachmann

is formidable at the podium.  The only question is whether her campaign staff has the experience

and skill to keep up.

Herman Cain is great on the air, because he IS on the air.  He has his own radio show.  He adds much to the dialogue, but whether he is the man to jump in and stave off a 21st century economic depression, one just doesn’t know.

Newt Gingrich, he is making the most of his platform!  No chance for president, but he is wonderful for comic relief and telling it as it is.

Rick Santorum is third string Tea Party, but he is sincere.

Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman?  They should both get back to work and quit taking up TV time.

  1. I thought Rick Perry looked very uncomfortable several times during the debate. Seems everyone kind of made him the whipping post which is logical since he’s supposedly ahead in the polls. He was very uncomfortable when Bachman brought up the inoculations and kept saying ’12 year old girls’ I thought he almost looked sheepish. I think the realization this is not going to be a cake walk is finally sinking in some. He is so narcissistic, I do believe ” he thinks it’s about him, he’s so vain”

  2. PERRY is nothing more than  SLICK POLITICIAN. In addition to promoting mandatory vaccination of teen girls, he betrayed all animal owners by signing the “Pet Elimination Bill” TX HB1451 promoted by lobbyists for Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and Texas Humane Legislative Network (THLN), a branch of HSUS.

CEO and President of HSUS Wayne Pacelle has stated, “One generation and out. We have no problems with the extinction of domestic animals. They are the creations of human selective breeding.” Animal People News May 1993.
    Texas is an agricultural State.

Is Perry “In the pocket” of the radical well funded lobbyists reprsenting the HSUS/PETA goals of eliminating all meat, fish, poultry & dairy from menus? He certainly has helped the radicals promote an agenda of persecution and the destruction of the rights of animal ownersby empowering them to invade private property through vague and dangerous legislation.

  3. Have to agree here too. I like Wolf Blitzer personally, and as a former newswoman, believe me he is better than most. Still, agreeing to debates without balanced panels…its going out of style! I think Conservatives need to demand it. Then we will have more balanced questioning. My two cents! Thanks for yours!
