Ron Paul should feel great about his independent followers and a win in the 20’s. Newt Gingrich has to be aching a bit at 9-10%. Jon Huntsman? Well he hasn’t campaigned anywhere else for six months! He pulled about 16% away (likely) fromNewt Gingrich and Mitt Romney tonight. Rick Santorum? Well, New Hampshire is not that welcome of a territory for him. But 10% at least keeps him on the map. Rick Perry, not competing, but takes 1% .
With 10% of the vote in….Romney is winning big.

That said, the litmus for our elected leaders must not be the church they attend but the Constitution they defend.

The Meet The Press GOP New Hampshire presidential debate had more fireworks than the ABC version on Saturday night. Mitt Romney was skewered my one and all of the competing candidates. Did any of it stick? Not really, but Newt Gingrich showed his best stripes, and Rick Santorum showed his bull dog commitment to social issues. Rick Perry offered some interesting moments. If you missed it, check out the highlights here ….and if you must, NBC.

This week’s GOP debate sweepstakes the winner is: MITT ROMNEY according to all the pundits. But, Newt Gingrich had a good night as well, and Rick Santorum held his ground. Only Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman seemed to eat up talk time. The biggest loser? ABC. The worst-prepared panel EVER. And Governor Rick Perry from Texas? Gotta give him credit…he’s still on his feet. Sunday morning on NBC, a televised Meet The Press debate follows. It’s good television and informative.

Red State makes a case for Rick Santorum and for the former Senator’s chances of becoming the Republican presidential nominee. In its post, Red State reminds readers that Santorum has just as good a shot at The White House as any of the GOP field, if observers will just quit emphasizing the negatives about the sometimes bold Pennsylvanian.

There won’t be enough column inches to cover all of the attacks on new “frontrunner” Mitt Romney. An eight-vote victory in Iowa has sharpened the rhetoric and the attacks on Romney and it will just escalate at this Saturday evening’s New Hampshire debate. There are some interesting developments too, as some conservatives recognize that Romney might be hard to stop if he wins New Hampshire. Get ready for the campaign to get very…personal.
