America’s Favorite Reality Show: The GOP Presidential Debates
November 9, 2011
CNBC did us one favor. The network’s debate was focused on tough economic questions facing America. Thanks to the personal finance background of CNBC’s anchors, candidates were actually held accountable for his or her answer.
What caught our attention the most? The candidates looked fatigued. The debate format has been valuable for truly getting to know the presidential contenders. Even so, the days are long and hard for these true campaigners. Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Herman Cain are the three with the heaviest schedules and the money to move throughout the nation. They are tired! Tired of standing next to one another answering virtually the same questions for fresh set of anchors. Perhaps we could build a bit more interest by reducing the quantity of debates, and encourage the news networks to find OTHER ways to attract viewers.
Here are a couple of the night’s highlights. Humor and humanity from poor Rick Perry.
