Michele Bachmann hits the target.  Would NBC’s Jimmy Fallon Show still have the same band leader if he had “played in” the First Lady, the same way he introduced Congresswoman Michele Bachmann?  Quite likely….no.

Michele Bachmann appeared on FOX NEWS commenting on the entire incident:

Republican presidential contender Michele Bachmann asked for an apology from NBC for Jimmy Fallon’s house band playing a song called “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” as her intro on “Late Night.”

Drummer and bandleader Queslove led The Roots in playing the obscure 1985 Fishbone tune as Bachmann greeted Fallon on Monday’s show. She said in a Fox News interview she was unaware of the song’s title at the time, but didn’t hold Fallon responsible, adding, “I love him, he’s a kick… I’d love to go back again.”

She said, however, that NBC should apologize, and that Questlove likely would have been at least suspended if he had played the song for

Michelle Obama.

“If that had been Michelle Obama, who’d come out on the stage, and if that song had been played for Michelle Obama, I have no doubt that NBC would have apologized to her and likely they would have fired the drummer, or at least suspended him,” she told Fox News.
