The Today Show Joins Obama Campaign Staff
February 6, 2012

Matt Lauer makes a wonderful White House Communications Director!

NBC is shameless in acting as the communications department for the Obama campaign.  That’s because CNN nearly went up in flames taking that role, and now is desperately trying to transform its identity into a NEWS organization!

But NBC and General Electric, its owner, are happy to stump for Obama, and this morning The Today Show gave the President a chance to try out all his new talking points:  “a ladder of opportunity for everyone” “an America built to last.”   Great, great lines, written by top Hollywood and Madison Avenue copywriters no doubt….but the chances that there is any plan or policy to back it up?  Nada.

In the coming months, Barack Obama is going to become the friendliest, the folksiest, the most on-the-job president you’ve ever seen, as the Democrats hunker down to hold The White House.
