President Obama Takes Personal Tour of Solyndra Solar Power Plant
NBC’s Today Show calls Solyndra Solar Power in California the “poster child for green energy.” At least that’s what it was supposed to be, a landmark undertaking for the Obama administration and coincidentally and hungrily leveraged by dogged Obama donor, George Kaiser.
Today, after going bankrupt last month, Solyndra executives have agreed to go before Congress to explain how $500 million in taxpayers loans EVAPORATED off the company’s books. Even more frustrating, now the company’s two top execs are

planning to invoke the 5th amendment and say nothing. The last time we saw tactics like these, burglars were on trial.
Another familiarity with 70’s White House scandals is that all of a sudden senior White House officials are losing their memories about this obviously significant project, gifted to a giant billionaire donor, and now a subject of FBI investigation. President Obama’s longtime personal friend and aide Valerie Jarrett is one of the names that has been connected to the defaulting company.

Speaking to Chicago radio station WLS, Axelrod — now working on Obama’s re-election campaign — said he knew nothing about, or anyone associated with, Solyndra. The solar company received a $535 million loan from the Department of Energy (DOE) only to go bankrupt in August. It has since been raided by the FBI and come under the microscope of federal investigators.

“I don’t know anybody associated with Solyndra and I know nothing about the project,” Axelrod told the radio station Thursday.
“Now look, we have seeded clean-energy technology projects all over this country,” Axelrod continued. “Many of them are very promising. Many of them are already showing success. And the fact is, when you invest in a large number of projects, some of them are not going to perform as they should. This was one of those cases.”
Solyndra was the pet project of one of Obama’s biggest donors. You think former Campaign Manager David Axelrod didn’t know him? Especially as a Senior Adviser at The White House?

House knew that the project was in trouble, another $75 million check was written out to Solyndra, meaning The White House invested not just once in the bad project, but twice. Now that the Solyndra is bankruptcy court another unusual event: Private investors in the project have been put in FIRST POSITION to be paid back, and the taxpayers in SECOND. This is not customary. If anything it is rare.
Unless, you are well-connected to all the right people.
The White House is good at one thing, taking taxpayer funds and shoveling them to unions, donors, and jobs projects which don’t create jobs. Now Obama wants Congress to give him MORE money?
Is anyone really surprised at this? Everyone knows who and what Obama is. We all know how and why he was elected to the Presedency.
It would just take one person in the Obama administration to actually tell the truth just once and the whole thing would fall like a deck of cards.
But, that will never happen. There isn’t one person in this adminstration that knows how to tell the truth or even what the truth looks like!

Why haven’t you disclosed that Solyndra’s loan process was initiated by the Bush administration and that many key investors were Republicans?
Danny: What we understand is that the Bush administration WAS considering the Solyndra project at the end of Bush 43’s 2nd term. There was great concern at that time about the strength, financing, partners and budget for Solyndra at THAT TIME. The Office of Budget and Management had questions about Solyndra even in 2007. It wasn’t until the Obama administration was apparently vigorously lobbied by Obama donor and Soyndra funder, billionaire George Kaiser, that the recommendations and the concerns of the OMB were ignored and the loans were approved. The FBI has already implicated senior White House aides in securing approval for the loans. When Solyndra was just weeks from bankruptcy, the government apparently RE-invested in Solyndra.
