President Obama: Buying The Election With Contraceptives
January 23, 2012
This lands in our mailbox from the “President’s” campaign:
“On Friday, the Obama administration announced that soon women won’t have to pay out of pocket for birth control: Starting August 1st, many insurance plans nationwide will be required to fully cover contraception without co-pays or deductibles. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, more women can make health care decisions based on what’s best for them — not their insurance company — all while saving hundreds of dollars every year.
Think about how different that is from what the candidates on the other side would do. They’ve all vowed to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and Mitt Romney even said he would have signed a constitutional amendment in Massachusetts to define life as beginning at conception, similar to the notorious state-level ‘personhood’ amendment that could ban many forms of contraception, and even IVF.
That’s why, right now, we need to show that millions of Americans are standing with President Obama on his commitment to women’s health — add your name today. ” (Whatever….this all showed up in an e-mail…)
Our view?
In the 21st Century there is no question that, more than ever, children need to be brought into prepared homes. We need to teach the next generation to choose well and to be sexually responsible. But do we want the government and Obamacare to be bankrupting the country by PROMISING every woman in America free prescriptions? And after this, what next?
Barack Obama’s team is leading Americans down a path that leads straight to SOCIALIZED MEDICINE. If he’s trying to buy votes with hand-outs, it MUST be an election year!
Who’s going to pay for all this?

I am not surprised by this out and out bribe to the ignorant masses. But you would think Obammy would want a lot more little stupid Obamabots running around out there to vote for DemoRats, so why give them contraceptives??
I am not surprised by this either. I imagine Obama has a list of “must-gets” on his election roster and women top the list.
And frankly I can’t imagine why birth control is considered a “health” choice. Pregnancy is not a disease that you can’t control. It’s something you can actively choose NOT to engage in activities that cause it. I find it ridiculous that my tax dollars will go to pay for birth control for other people.
Not to mention the flagrant disregard for religious organizations and the intent to force them to offer something they don’t believe in. This crosses a line, like so many other lines this administration has gotten away with crossing.
