Mitt Romney Loves SERVICE Not CELEBRITY
December 23, 2012

Mitt, Tagg and Ann Romney. Tagg Romney is the eldest of the Romneys five sons.

Today, the Boston Globe interviews Tagg Romney who reveals that his father Mitt, really wasn’t eager to run again for President.  The Governor’s eldest son shared that intimate piece of news to give context for how Mitt Romney is dealing with the loss and his future.  Romney always easily reassured the press that he would be “just fine” even if he lost.  But The Globe and the major media is jumping on this new intimate news as an “excuse.”

When will the media take its teeth out of Mitt Romney’s ankle?  The Boston Globe has never been fond of Romney.  A true-blue and pragmatic Republican in a solid Democrat state, and worse a successful Republican governor, Romney has always been a target for the Massachusetts paper.

Mitt Romney liked serving, not being on the front page.

Not surprising to those who know and work with him. Mitt Romney was willing to serve as President….but was always genuinely uncomfortable as the “center of attention.” The entire Romney FAMILY preferred not to be on the national stage again. It was ANN ROMNEY who apparently told Mitt, he was NEEDED.  From THE BOSTON GLOBE:

“After failing to win the 2008 Republican nomination, Romney told his family he would not run again and had to be persuaded to enter the 2012 White House race by his wife Ann and son Tagg.

“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life. He had no desire… to run,” Tagg Romney said. “If he could have found someone else to take his place… he would have been ecstatic to step aside.”

Mitt’s top adviser, Ann, encouraged him to run.

Mitt Romney “is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them. He loves his country, but he doesn’t love the attention,” his son said.

The Globe and other major media outlets are suggesting now that the Romneys are just making excuses. Does anyone really believe that “making excuses” is their style?

America…will likely come to regret the lost opportunity of…Mitt Romney.

America was LUCKY to have someone with the skill set, experience, and education of Mitt Romney running for President. Apparently however, at least half the country did not recognize themselves in the Romney family and their values. Maybe THAT’S what The Boston Globe should be INVESTIGATING….
