Herman Cain’s Campaign Manager and Video Star
October 28, 2011
FOX News reports today that the recent YouTube star for Herman Cain’s campaign has a bit of an “iffy” political past. Don’t ALL political strategists have checkered pasts?????? In this case however, Cain might have though twice before making Campaign Manager Mark Block a poster child for his campign:
Follow @TKC_USMeet Mark Block, Cain’s unorthodox campaign manager. Perhaps no one is more responsible for the Georgia businessman’s meteoric rise in the presidential polls than Block, a Republican strategist and tea party leader who’s left a trail of questionable campaign work behind him.
Block has been accused of voter suppression and was banned from running Wisconsin political campaigns for three years to settle accusations he coordinated a judge’s re-election campaign with a special interest group.
Records show Block has faced foreclosure on his home, a tax warrant by the Internal Revenue Service and a lawsuit for an unpaid bill. He also acknowledges he was arrested twice for drunken driving.
On the presidential trail, some former Cain staffers say Block broke promises. Traditional GOP strategists have been scratching their heads at his renegade tactics to win the White House, all but ignoring some early states in favor of a book tour and swings
through states without early primaries.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Herman Cain probably didn’t have a line of political experts waiting to run his campaign. Even so, putting Mark Block on TV was probably not the best idea, and neither was his cigarette.
It would be helpful if you would cite reliable ‘sources’ of the information. That way..everyone knows it’s not a ‘hit’ job.
If this is indeed all true..I question Cain’s judgement..He’s beginning to make mistakes that don’t encourage me to support him..
FOX News broke this story? What’s the matter, are they crying because they couldn’t shove Romney down people’s throats? Awe…
I have read a few of your articles. I and like your coverage. But I have to ask, don’t you all have proof readers? Sorry to criticize, but I used to work for a magazine, and typos just drive me nuts.
P.S. I threw in my own typo. Don’t that drive you nuts?
The reliable source is FOX News on this one. Block is a very well-known commodity in political circles and his style is no secret!
Sorry you’re so disappointed! Is Fox stumping for Romney? Cain still seems to be riding the wave of media support and interest. We still have a three way race in our estimation. The Kitchen Cabinet wants the best possible candidate, with skills and character, WHO CAN TAKE OBAMA OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE!
You’re HIRED! Sorry Tara. We are mothers and other mothers….working around the clock! We’ll do better in 2012 when we get our full staff back! Even so, we just try to use spell check and read over pieces at least once..even in the dark! As long as we aren’t worse than Instapundit or Drudge…..we feel our English teachers will be forgiving. Thanks for caring!
I think I like what I see here. Keep up the good work ladies! Can a dude join I’d much rather hear from you than the ladies on the TV and darn can’t remember the name of it but I think Whoopi is on it. It made instantly down when I watched for about 10 minutes, anyway you ladies on this site make me feel just fine…………….I think I really like this.
If you LISTEN to Herman, especially at the Tea Party rallies or Republican conventions—you will understand why he continues to rise in the polls. I support him 110% and will continue to do so. I love the fact that even though he didn’t make the ‘smoking ad’, and even though it may not be something that truly represented him—he SUPPORTED his campaign manager, and didn’t throw him under the bus or try to deflect any blame. He took responsibility for the ad, even though he had never even seen it before it appeared online. Doesn’t this kind of backbone seem the exact opposite of the ‘BLAME ANYONE BUT ME’ marxist Muslim we have in the WH now? Herman is a breath of fresh air—and the polls show it.
That IS refreshing Beth.! TKC
