Cabinet Bulletin: ABC Holding Back Explosive Marianne Gingrich Interview
January 18, 2012
WHY IS ABC NEWS holding back an explosive interview with Gingrich’s 2nd wife, Marianne, before the South Carolina Primary? Would CBS News or CNN or FOX News hold back on breaking news to benefit one candidate or another? The network claims that the revelations in the investigative report contributed by ABC’s Brian Ross, could affect the upcoming South Carolina Primary.
Newt Gingrich has not hidden the fact that he has had three wives. His first wife and her sister are on the campaign payroll and refuse to talk to the media about their ancient personal history. Third wife, Callista Gingrich, of course became acquainted with the former Speaker of the House when the two had an affair while Newt Gingrich was married to Marianne Gingrich in the 1980’s and 90’s. Their affair occurred simultaneoulys with Speaker Gingrich’s aggressive prosecution of President Bill Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky. But Gingrich has also maintained that these chapters in his life were put behind him after finding God when he converted to Catholicism two years ago. Apparently now Marianne Gingrich has decided to come forward and according to the Drudge Report, with facts which she believes should sink Gingrich’s campaign:
This from Drudge Report:
Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single interview. Earlier this week, she sat before ABCNEWS cameras, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
She spoke to ABCNEWS reporter Brian Ross for two hours.
Her explosive revelations are set to rock the campaign.
But now a “civil war” has erupted inside of the network, an insider claims, on exactly when the confession will air!
ABCNEWS suits determined it would be "unethical" to run the Marianne Gingrich interview so close to the South Carolina Primary, a curious decision, one insider argued, since the network has aggressively been reporting on other candidates.
A decision was tentatively made to air the interview next Monday, after all votes have been counted.
Gingrich canceled a press conference on Wednesday to deal with the matter.
“He believes that what he says in public and how he lives don’t have to be connected,” Marianne Gingrich, Newt’s wife of 18 years, explained to ESQUIRE last year. “When you try and change your history too much, and try and recolor it because you don’t like the way it was or you want it to be different to prove something new ... you lose touch with who you really are."
Why ABC News is withholding a story, is unknown. Meanwhile, ABC News plans an in-depth investigation tonight of Mitt Romney’s charitable contributions to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which receives annual tithing from its devout members of 10% of their earnings.

Newts 2nd wife should keep quiet. It is history. Nobody did anything to Clinton for what he did, which was far worse as he was already the president.
so why is it any different for Cain to have an affair? Is it ok if Newt does not not if Cain does? And then what on earth is wrong with giving 10% of your income to the church? What could possibly be wrong with that? This is crazy time…all that is good is twisted to look bad and what is bad is made to look like it is good…
Tithing is a personal matter. It is between you and God. ABC has no business investigating Mitt Romney’s tithing. So he gave millions to his church, big deal. That’s his choice and nobody’s business.
The writing is clearly on the wall. It is okay for a “established insider” Gingrich, to have an affair or two and not get chastised for it. And it is further okay for an “established insider” Gingrich to cast stones at another “established insider” Clinton for his affairs. And, now it is also okay to hold back damaging information on Gingrich so it does not influence the voters voting. But let a newcomer come on the scene like “Cain” and all hell breaks loose!! Talk about freakin double standards. And converting to Catholicism saved his wretched soul!!? Give me a break. What I see is a bunch of political cronies making absolute spectacles of themselves in the name of getting to holiday in the White House at the taxpayers expense for four years just like the Obamas did. I do not think anyone of these nicompoops is up to the job of cleaning up after the Obamas and his band of Merry Thieves.
You always have to look at motivation, folks. Why is poor Marianne Gingrich – oh, I see she kept the powerful name – but, anyway why is she coming forward NOW, before the primary Newt has a shot at? Why now? She has had years to tell her story – if there is one – we have only her word for it and supposedly some bluster at ABC News. No FACTS have been revealed about Marianne and what she might say. If she was a betrayed wife, I feel for her, as we all do. This is what I find interesting. Here is her quote from above:
“He believes that what he says in public and how he lives don’t have to be connected,” Marianne Gingrich, Newt’s wife of 18 years, explained to ESQUIRE last year. “When you try and change your history too much, and try and recolor it because you don’t like the way it was or you want it to be different to prove something new … you lose touch with who you really are.”
As an observer of people, this is what I “hear”: She thinks she can be one way in public and another way in private. She was married to Newt 18 YEARS!! Read my lips. How long does it take to know a marriage is not working? 19 years? And I LOVE THIS: “When you try and change your history…and recolor it…you lose touch with who you really are.”
I think Ms.Marianne is a bitter woman. She has never forgiven Newt or herself for being take advantage of. Now, here is her chance for REVENGE, big time! They say it’s best served cold, and being from the 80’s, this is certainly cold. I believe ABC is remiss and will be slandering a good man if they air this piece of hateful garbage.
I am SURE Ms.Marianne has been amply taken care of and provided for, for life. Her decision to trash Newt Gingrich, one our finest candidates for President, is inspired by nothing but a disgraceful desire for revenge, damage to Newt and his candidacy, and an undue interference in the political process. Newt is repentant, has apologized, and done all he can to make thing right and move on and do good with his life, his abilities and his strengths, for all people, especially his beloved USA. Gingrich is a good, decent man, who deserves honor, respect and even deference as a Speaker of the House under Ronald Reagan.
ABC and Ms. Marianne are courting Hell…
If Marianne Gingrich is a woman scorned, she has a story to tell. Let her tell it! As a voter, I need to know! Character is not developed overnight, or even in two years when somebody thinks they want to run for president. I’m glad he has repented. Part of that repentance includes turning away from old habits? Turning away from past lifestyles? If he is truly repentant, why is he running for president and attacking everyone as if they were Bill Clinton again?
