AFTER ALL THIS? Only 20% of Iowans Even VOTED?
January 3, 2012
What does that tell you about the 2012 Iowa Caucuses? Are Iowans concerned about the economy? Desperate to move Barack Obama out of The White House? Or just so fed up with politics and campaigning that they stayed home and watch WORLD’s BIGGEST LOSER?
After a handful of politicians spent millions of dollars, hundreds of thousands of hours, and unlimited energy to personally press the flesh, seek the personal approve of Iowan residents, visit their markets, diners, gas stations, and community centers, kiss their babies, sign autographs, attend their State Fairs…
ONLY 118,000 people in the entire state even bothered to VOTE?
The Democrats must be jumping for joy at the apathy.
This was the wrong message to send.

ARE you kidding me Iowa?
Do you even understand what a Caucus is compared to a Primary?
Yes we do! But even Governor Barnstad excepted a record turnout….obviously not.
Does anyone know what the % was 4 yrs ago? Honestly, I think maybe people were so undecided they just didn’t go. There were people that actually VOTED – UNDECIDED. What is up with that??? Why would you spend close to 2hrs and vote Undecided? THAT’s even weird to me….
This is from 2008 – so, I guess about the same number of people turned out.
“The Iowa Republican Party is also projecting record turnout, with 120,000 people taking part in the Republican caucuses. About 87,000 people took part in the 2000 Republican caucuses.”
