Two Republican Women In Iowa Settle The Election
January 4, 2012

Edith Pfeffer, Chairwoman of Clinton County Central Committe and Carolyn Tallet Settled The Election

Any surprise?  That two women, responsible county election directors, longtime Republican workers and campaign employees, AND probably anchors of the Iowa Federation of Republican Women, brought the Iowa Caucus battle to a close at 2:00 A.M. in the morning.

OF COURSE it would be the dedicated workers, carefully watching over the counting of sacred votes, who would see the election to a TIGHT but honest close.

The Romney campaign, in search of answers, and Iowa GOP leaders tracked down Edith Pfeffer, the chairwoman of Clinton County’s Republican Central Committee, who then woke up Tallet, the president of the Clinton County Republican Women’s Club.  CNN then found the duo, and put them on the air.  That’s when they became overnight sensations by revealing the true and accurate count from their Romney-friendly county, and called the count for Mitt Romney by just a handful of votes.

Here’s the video and you have to have the pleasure of watching it!

Amazing story.  The Iowa Caucus votes are actually very well-protected and counted with reliable integrity.  It’s public!  Everyone is watching, and most voters remain for the announcement of a winner.  While there have been a few isolated calls for a recount today, the truth is, IF ONLY THE NATIONAL ELECTION could be handled as authentically as the dear people of Iowa do it.

It was a win/win for Romney/Santorum.    It would have been a ratings blockbuster if the battle hadn’t been fought into the wee hours of the morning!
