Gingrich Says What We’re Thinking: Muslims Don’t HAVE To Attend Catholic Schools If They’re Uncomfortable!

Go Newt

Newt Gingrich brings a rich combination of sage, political experience, and unfettered freedom of speech to today’s national discourse.  He’s running for President, but then he isn’t, actually.  He has much to say, andt there are few consequences for him because he is more of a pundit, than a candidate!  We love his clarity, and his honesty with voters.  Today FOX NEWS online captures his wit and wisdom on the subject of Muslims being dissatisfied with the accommodations of a Catholic University.  His answer?  WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT A CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY?

Do private, Christian, American Institutions need to accommodate social requests of Muslim students?  If they want to be kind, but not because they need to fear being sued over a human rights violation!  But that’s what’s happening……Here’s Gingrich’s take:

“We now have a lawsuit apparently by some Muslim students at Catholic University who

Do Catholic schools need to offer special accommodations for Muslims?

are offended by being at a Catholic university. Now my first answer to them is ‘Fine, don’t go to a Catholic university.'”

His comments drew applause. Gingrich was referring to allegations that Catholic University of America is illegally discriminating against Muslim students by “denying them access to benefits that other student groups enjoy,” and, in particular, not providing space for daily prayers so that they have to pray in classrooms or campus chapels where they are surrounded by Catholic symbols. The charges are currently being reviewed by the District of Columbia Office of Human Rights.

Gingrich challenged the “people who filed the lawsuit,” asking rhetorically, “Are you prepared to sponsor a Christian missionary in Mecca? Because if you’re not prepared to sponsor religious liberty in Saudi Arabia, don’t come and nag us with some hypocritical baloney. So I think we need to be prepared to stand firm for genuine religious liberty, not for something that’s anti-Christian.”

  1. Newt is a very real candidate and one that is gaining ground.  We will all be better off with his common sense wisdom in the White House.  The only person that can restore America to what it was because he was an integral part of making us great in the Reagan and Clinton years.  You remember those days, when you could actually afford to buy groceries pay your rent and own a car with out a second income or a college degree.  The days when low government spending and a balanced budget meant easy prosperity for all.  When inflation didn’t erode your wages and everyone could find a job or open a small business.  Newt Newt Newt we need Newt

  2. Thx jeanine. Newt definitely will have a role in 2012 and thereafter. Isn’t he on point in the debates?

  3. I am constantly incredulous at the unabashed temerity of these different groups.  These are of the same bunch with the mindset that “Gosh, WHY is everyone so up in arms about building a grand Muslim mosque at Ground Zero?  They want special dispensation, uh huh.  And who is right there advocating for their “rights’?  Barack Hussein Obama of course.  Certainly, the Muslims have the “right” to build whatever they want there, but what they are seeking to do is tantamount to going to the funeral of the family you just killed while driving drunk and telling the grieving relatives that you want to buy the victims’ house.  They sure aren’t exercising any common decency or common sense in this endeavor.

Gingrich levels the assertion that Obama is PANDERING to the Muslims.  I agree.  The President always seems to lick his finger to see which way the Liberal wind is blowing.
