First, write off the PPP

( Public Policy Polls) because they under-sample Republicans and results always favor Democrats one way or another.  Second, any poll partnered with a major news outlet like USA Today or The Washington Post…is driving HEADLINES.  Skip those.

We find Rasmussen Polling to be the most reliable.  Now this week, FOX NEWS has its own poll out…and is not specific about who conducted the research.  The results conflict with the climbing numbers for Mitt Romney, and actually show President Obama BEATING Mitt Romney if the election were held today.

matchup, according to the latest Fox News poll, which finds American voters feeling more positive about the economy.

Obama would have an advantage of 46 percent to 39 percent over Romney, if the election were held today. Three weeks ago the candidates were tied at 46 percent each.

The national poll, released Wednesday, shows the president’s lead is just outside the poll’s margin of sampling error.

No Matter How The Polls Look...It's Going To Be CLOSE

About a third of voters say they are “extremely” interested in the election. Among just that group, Romney tops Obama by 50 percent to 44 percent.

Overall, each candidate’s party support is strong: Most Democrats back Obama (88 percent) and most Republicans support Romney (84 percent).

Among independents, 34 percent back Romney, 29 percent support Obama and more than a third are undecided or say they won’t vote (36 percent). Last month, independents broke for Romney by 46 percent to 33 percent.

Romney Still Needs Help With WOMEN

The gender gap is alive and well, as women continue to be more likely to back Obama (55 percent to 33 percent), while men are more inclined to support Romney (46 to 37 percent).

A Movie Star? No. The courageous Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko

Ukraniam Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has been imprisoned on trumped up charges of corruption in an energy deal with Russia and her shy daughter is fighting with everything she has, for her release.  Western diplomats say the imprisonment is politically motivated and is threatening the life of Tymoshenko.

Eugenia Tymoshenko is married to a British rock star and stays completely out of the limelight, and never speaks of her family life.  But suddenly, in defense of her mother whose life is threatened by a baseless imprisonment, Eugenia is taking the international stage:

was overwhelmed by their support for her mother, who was jailed on charges of corruption in an energy deal with Russia, a case the West has condemned as politically motivated.

“Women leaders – they feel, I think, special solidarity with her as a woman politician, because of the conditions she is in,” Tymoshenko said. “Of course, they have daughters and children of their own and they know how it feels and their words are always of support.”

As part of her legal defense team, Tymoshenko has enjoyed unique access to her mother, first in a Kiev detention center and now in a remote jail in the eastern city of Kharkiv.

Tymoshenko was moved to a Kharkiv hospital on Wednesday to be treated for a severe spinal condition that has rendered her partially paralyzed and in constant pain. After strong Western pressure, a German neurologist was allowed to supervise Tymoshenko’s treatment because she does not trust government-controlled doctors.

Tymoshenko is now recovering from a nearly three-week-long hunger strike she launched on April 27 to protest an alleged beating by prison guards. She looks emaciated and weak, having lost nearly 10 kilograms (22 pounds). She can only walk with walking aids and is under constant video monitoring, even when she showers, Eugenia said.

Eugenia admits wishing that her mother would stop her political activity to stay free and healthy, but realizes now that she could not give up. Tymoshenko’s husband Oleksandr fled to Prague after authorities also targeted him in an investigation after Tymoshenko was imprisoned. But that was not Tymoshenko’s path, her daughter said.

“It’s something you cannot take away from her it’s her life, so for her even now the opportunity to escape … is unacceptable,” Eugenia Tymoshenko said.”

Cell phones are blocking 911 lines

Dialed 911 lately?  Response time is getting dangerously…..LONG.  The culprit?  Not a shortage of operators, but a flood of bad calls from CELL PHONES accidentally dialing 911 and blocking lines.  Here’s what’s happening in New York City:

“The city’s 911 system fielded nearly four million accidental calls in 2010, which exceeded the number of times officers were dispatched to real emergencies, a consultant’s report commissioned by the mayor’s office found.

Emergency Operators Flooded With "Bad" Calls Which Kill Response Time

The inadvertent — or “butt dial” — calls accounted for nearly 40 percent of the 10.4 million 911 calls received in 2010. Police cars were dispatched to 3.5 million of the calls received, according to the Daily News.

The disproportionate number of accidental calls was among the findings in the consultant’s report, an edited version of which was released Friday after legal efforts to force the mayor to make it public.

The report attributes the substantial number of accidental calls to the proliferation of cell phones. And it predicts the problem will only get worse.

Despite the findings, the report says the city has done nothing to account for or combat the accidental 911 calls, which are generally shorter than calls reporting actual emergencies. The influx of those calls ultimately makes overall 911 response times appear shorter, the report said.

If You Need An Ambulance....Will You Be Able To Reach One?

The NYPD reported an average response time of just over one minute in 2010. But considering accidental calls accounted for nearly 40 percent of all taken that year, “utilizing this metric as currently calculated does not accurately reflect the NYPD’s time spent on received and processed 911 calls,” the report said.”

Bill Clinton: Helpful To Mitt Romney

Until Mitt Romney desires to reveal his Vice-Presidential nominee, it appears he will be running with Bill Clinton!

Romney strategists are flying high as this week’s Gallup polling shows Romney actually ahead of the President by five points, 49% to 44%.  To drive the stake deeper into the heart of the Obama campaign, Mitt Romney is out on the stump invoking the name and the policies of former President Bill Clinton…drawing a painful contrast with the economic failures of Barack Obama.  The best thing about it?  It’s the TRUTH.  Clinton campaigned in the middle, and promised economic reforms and conservative policies.  (This all the while being personally irresponsible…)  But the contrast between Clinton and Obama is DEAFENING.    Politico shares some of Mitt’s tactical words and the strategy:

“In seeking to drive a wedge between centrist and liberal Democrats, Romney spoke here on Tuesday in glowing terms of the Clinton era’s balanced budgets and rosy economy.

“President Obama chose to apply liberal ideas of the past to a 21st century America,” Romney said. “Liberal policies didn’t work back then, they haven’t worked during these last four years, and they will not work in the future. New Democrats had abandoned those policies, but President Obama resurrected them with the predictable results.”

Romney continued: “President Clinton, remember, he said the era of big government was over. President Obama brought it back with a vengeance. Government at all levels now consumes about 38 percent of the economy, and if Obamacare is installed, that will rise to about half of the economy.”

Furthermore, Romney sought to paint Obama as a welfare president. It was not a far cry from ex-presidential rival Newt Gingrich dubbing Obama a “food stamp president,” and the former House speaker’s work with Clinton to balance the budget in the ’90s also resonated during Romney’s speech.

“President Clinton made efforts to reform welfare as we know it,” Romney said. “But President Obama is trying tirelessly to expand the welfare state, with more promises of more programs, more benefits, more spending

Recovered House Data Reveals bin Laden Had The End He Deserved.

Following the paths of so many terrorist masterminds before him, Osama bin Laden became paranoid, isolated, and ineffective in his last year.  Valuable scraps of information, computer data and house relics reveal that bin Laden was losing control of his terrorist operation and filled with self-doubt.  Well-worth reading from The New York Daily News:

So, given the “gender gap,” maybe those 86 percent of American women are way cooler with polygamy than Governor Schweitzer thinks. Maybe these liberal chicks really dig it.

Mitt Romney IS The Real Thing Conservative Women Are Searching For.

The Kitchen Cabinet is getting…calls.  JUST when deeply-conservative women were beginning to consider Mitt Romney he welcomes a gay mid-level staffer to help with communications on foreign affairs!   This creates worry for some that Mitt Romney just isn’t committed to their values.  That, unfortunately, would mean that  George W. Bush is also not committed.  He hired Richard Grenell first.  Grenell, has been vetted and served as a specialist in communications on foreign affairs issues for REPUBLICANS for many years.  He has worked at the United Nations and in The White House.

We understand the concerns of many in the Cabinet, and we would like to bring some information to the table.

As the nation grows to know Ann and Mitt Romney, they will probably find that the Romneys are exactly the people their longtime friends say they are:  Kind and fair.  Romney also has very high expectations of professionalism in all of his endeavors.  So it is actually no surprise to The Kitchen Cabinet that Mitt Romney would hire one of the best specialists in foreign affairs he could find, despite his dramatically different social views from the Governor.   Many Republicans have selected Grenell for his professional skills.

In the past ten years, more than just a few activists in the gay community have dedicated every breath they have to try and destroy Mitt Romney.  He was the first U.S. Governor to wage a major state battle against gay marriage.  He opposed and worked hard to stop gay activists from using the legalization of gay marriage to bring gay EDUCATION into public schools in Massachusetts.

With all this history, why would Mitt Romney extend a hand of professionalism to a long-valued gay Republican with depth of experience in foreign relations assignments?

Those who have worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Mitt Romney say he makes his judgments in the workplace on talent and commitment. The former Governor doesn’t budge on his values, but he also understands that there are many in the gay community who are making contributions in the GOP and in the community.  Some have been dedicated servants in government, and Grenell is apparently one of them.

Even so, Romney also makes clear that he opposes the agendas of gay activists.  But in a year when the economy is the moral issue of our time….we need to unite EVERY vote and every fiscal conservative to remove Barack Obama ad his LEAGUES of social liberals from office.

Perhaps We Just Don't Recognize The Old-Fashioned Values Of The Romneys?

Kitchen Cabinet women shouldn’t doubt Ann and Mitt Romney’s hearts for marriage, for family, for the futures of our children.  We should follow Romney’s example in being kind and fair to the families, the neighbors and the colleagues who have sons and daughters who are gay.  Many are sorting out challenges they never expected.

It is gay activists who are willing to re-shape America to satisfy their own agendas.  It is with them that we part ways.

There Is Only On Mission In 2012: Get Obama Out.

The Kitchen Cabinet is filled with women who ALL have deeply-held and personal beliefs on all the social issues.  This year, we must not be side-tracked by distractions that will favor the Democrats. They want this election to be about contraception, and other ridiculous things.

The truth is, this election is about the remarkable failure of Barack Obama.  A man who took a job he was not qualified for.   Conservative women don’t have to like every appointee of a candidate or a president.  What we must do is support the candidacy of Mitt Romney at all costs.

He is the only line of defense we have in restoring the economy and protecting the U.S. Supreme Court from Obama and his team of liberal, activist Democrats.  Their mission is unshakeable and destined to create an America none of us will recognize.

■ For their 1986 book, The Media Elite, political scientists S. Robert Lichter, Stanley Rothman and Linda S. Lichter surveyed journalists at top media outlets. They found 94% reported voting for Lyndon Johnson in 1964; 86% for Hubert Humphrey in 1968; 81% for George McGovern in 1972 and 81% for Jimmy Carter in 1976. (More)

■ In 1982, scholars at California State University at Los Angeles asked reporters from the fifty largest newspapers for whom they voted in 1980. The breakdown: 51% cast a ballot for Jimmy Carter and another 24% chose the liberal independent candidate John Anderson. When asked how they voted in the 1984 election, more than twice as many chose liberal Walter Mondale (58%) over the conservative incumbent Ronald Reagan (26%), even as the country picked Reagan in a 59 to 41% landslide. ■ In 2001, Stanley Rothman and Amy E. Black updated the Media Elite’s survey of journalists, and found 76% of elite journalists voted for Michael Dukakis in 1988, while 91% voted for Bill Clinton. (More)

■ In 2005, the University of Connecticut surveyed 300 journalists nationwide, and found the media preferred Democratic challenger John Kerry over incumbent Republican President George W. Bush by a wide margin, 52% to 19%. (More)

■ Prior to the 2000, 2004 and 2008 presidential elections, the online Slate magazine surveyed its staff to find out how they intended to vote. As a case study, the Slate surveys match scientific polls of the media elite: More than three-fourths (76%) picked Al Gore as their top choice in 2000; 87% said they planned to vote for John Kerry in 2004; while virtually every staffer polled (96%) said they were supporting Barack Obama in 2008. Numerous polls also show far more journalists describe themselves as “liberal” compared to the general public. In 1996, the American Society of Newspaper Editors surveyed 1,037 journalists at 61 newspapers, and found those calling themselves “liberal/Democrat” outnumbered “conservative/Republican” by a four-to-one margin (61% to 15%).

Good Try Mr. President....Women Won't Be Bought In This Election

President Obama’s approval rating among women is fifteen points higher than challenger Mitt Romney, particularly in the 2012 Battleground States.

Historically, the Democratic Party always attracts more women voters than Republicans.  This year however, women voters are disenchanted with Barack Obama’s leadership, and that is why we see the unexpected windfall of FREE contraceptives for women!  It’s quite a generous offer, especially considering that there hasn’t been a peep out of women from either party, complaining about a shortage!

More than six percent of democratic-voting women already confirm that they will not repeat their votes for the President.  It is no surprise then that Obama strategists are desperate to find a way to distract women who feel the pinch of a bad economy.

Let’s not allow our friends and colleagues to be fooled by this clever, but disingenuous strategy.  Here are some water-cooler talking points to share with Independent-thinking women who deserve the straight story:

1.If the government provides you with free contraceptives, do you really think you will get to choose the kind you prefer?  Or will you accept what is selected by the federal government for your use?

2-How can the government afford to make free contraceptives available to women in America, when we can’t even afford to keep construction paper in our kids’ classrooms at school?  We CAN’T PAY FOR IT!

3- Women need to know that while the Obama administration promises with one hand to give American women free contraceptives, Democrats are paying for it by putting their other hand in your pocketbook.

4-Isn’t the contraception issue a red herring designed to distract women voters, from focusing on their disenchantment with President Obama’s handling of the economy?

5-The Obama campaign is targeting women with “free contraceptives” simply put, because the women’s vote will decide this election. Who is really waging the “War on Women?”

6-The votes of women are NOT for sale.  Especially not for the price of contraceptives, about $9 a month!

7-Contraceptives are ALREADY free to any woman who can’t afford them in clinics, school health centers, hospitals and of course, Planned Parenthood.

Make no mistake…this is WAR.  The Democrats will be pulling out all the stops to try and win the valuable vote of undecided independent women.  The Kitchen Cabinet sees the landscape a bit differently:  We support all women with paychecks, or who depend upon a paycheck.  ALL OF US should create our own new political party:  The “Keep Your Hands Off My Paycheck” Party!   We deserve to keep what we own, we deserve to be respected, and we should each let Rahm Emanual and David Axelrod know….OUR VOTES ARE NOT FOR SALE.
