Democrats Latest Tactic: REGISTER THE DEAD
July 25, 2012

It's not just a saying, it's an INDUSTRY.

In what will likely be a close election, how will Democrats get an EDGE?

In Virginia, the non-profit “Voter Participation Center” is busy “registering the dead!”  Clever, but they’re not the first.  Florida GOP groups have been weeding through voter data lists for a year, trying to clean up false voting records which 100% benefit Democrats.  Some believe voter fraud will be so elevated this November that the 2012 election could MIRROR the 2000 presidential battle between George Bush and Al Gore.

The Voter Participation Center has so far mailed out 200,000 forms and garnered over 15,000 “new” voters from the effort, in Virginia alone.

Get their plan?

Trust ACORN...or whatever they're calling it now.....

The Romney campaign is leading the charge in Virginia where the so-called Voter Participation Center has been mass-mailing PRE-PRINTED forms to PRIMARILY Democratic-leaning voting blocs to Virginian young adults, unmarried women, African Americans and Latinos.

You can guess why.  The Senate race between George Allen and Tim Kaine is separated by just an eyelash of a percentage point some days.  Barack Obama needs Virginia to be re-elected.  Here’s what the GOP is doing to fight back:

Georgia's Governor holds a Voter ID card....for someone's DOG.

“In a letter to Cuccinelli’s office and the State Board of Elections, Kathryn Bieber, an attorney for the Romney campaign, calls for an investigation into the matter by law-enforcement officials, claiming that the mailings appear to violate “at least one and maybe several Virginia laws aimed at ensuring a fair election.”

Bieber refers to the mailings as “tactics that amount to, or at the very least induce, voter registration fraud,” and says the issue “presents a very significant risk to the proper administration of the upcoming general election.”

It Will Take EACH ONE OF US....TO GUARD THE POLLS.

Citing a Sunday Richmond Times-Dispatch story that brought the mailings to light, the letter also asks the State Board of Elections to require registrars to reject all pre-populated voter registration applications from the group and review the eligibility of all Virginians who have registered in the past two months.

“This is the only way for voters and other interested parties to regain confidence in the voter registration and electoral process that has been abused by the Voter Participation Center,” the letter says.

Page Gardner, president and CEO of the Voter Participation Center, said the organization mailed nearly 200,000 third-party registration forms to Virginia addresses in June, which resulted in 15,026 new voters being registered as of July 18.

On Monday, the Voter Participation Center responded to the Sunday Times-Dispatch story, stating in a letter on its website that “imperfections in the VPC vendors’ lists — while regrettable and unfortunate — should not be the reason or the excuse to call an entire process that is working into question.”

Justin Riemer, the State Board of Elections’ deputy secretary, said forms have been sent by the group to deceased infants, out-of-state family members, and non-U.S. citizens, among others.

The Virginia Senate Race Is SOOOO Close...Voter Fraud Could Turn The Outcome

In a letter this month, the State Board of Elections asked the group to cease pre- populating their forms and raised questions about how the group was obtaining lists of registered voters, citing the errant forms.”

  1. WHY HAVEN’T WE PUT IN VOTER ID LAWS IN THIS COUNTRY? THIS IS DISGUSTING!!!
What can be done about this?

  2. Yet another reason for voter ID laws. I have yet to see a dead person actually voting in person with a picture ID!!!  I’m am so sick and tired of democrats winning any way they can!!!  IF Obama does manage to pull off another win, I know it won’t be an honest win and doubt the last one was.  The only way to negate this is for republicans to turn out to vote and make it the largest turnout in history for republicans!!!!

  3. Disgusting is right. Funny how we have to show ID for almost everything else we do but
we don’t want voter ID Laws…What the heck is wrong? Don’t you want to help clean up this country?  How will we ever get out of this mess?  Get real!
Only the dishonest would not want VOTER ID LAWS!

  4. A major probe by the Justice Department between 2002 and 2007 failed to prosecute a single person for going to the polls and impersonating an eligible voter, which the anti-fraud laws are supposedly designed to stop. Out of the 300 million votes cast in that period, federal prosecutors convicted only 86 people for voter fraud – and many of the cases involved immigrants and former felons who were simply unaware of their ineligibility. A much-hyped investigation in Wisconsin, meanwhile, led to the prosecution of only .0007 percent of the local electorate for alleged voter fraud. “Our democracy is under siege from an enemy so small it could be hiding anywhere,” joked Stephen Colbert. A 2007 report by the Brennan Center for Justice, a leading advocate for voting rights at the New York University School of Law, quantified the problem in stark terms. “It is more likely that an individual will be struck by lightning,” the report calculated, “than that he will impersonate another voter at the polls.”

  5. This year Michael…all past trends and models…don’t work.

  6. Romney campaign is battling in Virginia. GOP lawyers are at war in Wisconsin, Texas and Florida. The Kitchen Cabinet will ask women EVERYWHERE in America to be part of working at the polls, taking the day off and watching the polls, and calling our own friends in such high numbers that we simply OUTVOTE the dems.

  7. This is such Republican BS   Registration forms get sent to dead people and dogs from both parties, because they use mailing lists obtained from the census and postal info.

Here’s the deal.  Go to your polling site and stay there all day during voting hours and if any dogs or Dead people try to vote, make sure they are Republicans

    What a bunch of idiots.

  8. What I don’t understand is that we have to show a photo ID to board a plane, we have to have a passport just to cross the border into Canada, we have to show photo ID quite frequently at doctors’ offices, we have to show photo ID to get a passport in the first place.  I can understand in small towns like ours where the people who man the polls have known my son since he was born and have known my husband since he was a child, why photo ID’s aren’t always necessary.  However, in areas where people are new, or in large urban areas it just makes sense to require a photo ID.  After all it’s not hard  (or expensive) to get a non-driver’s photo ID.  One of the problems is trying to legislate for the whole country.  What makes sense in a small town doesn’t necessarily work in a large urban area.

  9. IN 2008 election, WV dem gov went to nursing home (Cortland Acres) and had my wife’s 100 year old aunt vote for b h o . She was suffering from alzheimers and didn’t even know she was in the world. They made a big to do in a local newspaper.

  10. Brilliant… Voter ID to prevent mail-in registration fraud. Tell me again how that works?
“…forms have been sent by the group to deceased infants, out-of-state family members, and non-U.S. citizens, among others.” Really? Imperfect mailing lists? What a horror. Interesting that no mention was made of how many were sent in to register those folks. Bet it was pretty close to zero.

  11. Pre-printed applications were sent to approximately 200,000 people in Virginia, and the Romney campaign is challenging some 15,000 which were returned out of that bunch. Using data of deceased voters to populate applications is not new. Just embarrassing, desperate, and illegal…and arriving at homes of prime Democratic voters.

  12. Both parties have always tried to register voters in the areas where they think they have an edge. They use census lists or whatever other lists they can get. Between the time those lists are compiled and the time the letters are sent out, yes, some people do pass away! Happens all the time, duh…
As hard as the authors of this article try to imply something nefarious is going on, in fact they offer no proof that any of the newly registered are improperly registered.   Innuendo and accusation are a far cry from proof.
In fact every investigation or “voter fraud” has revealed that it virtually does not exist –other than the fraud of denying US citizens the right to vote…

  13. The 60th vote on Obamacare was Franken from Minnesota. Stolen elections affect the entire country. Help support Voter ID in Minnesota. We need your help ASAP.

  15. Talk about goofs – how about fixing this caption – “George’s Governor holds a Voter ID card….for someone’s DOG.”  – Do you not know how to spell Georgia?

By Mail – I guess you mean email address?  I do get postal mail. My child learning to read could pick out these errors.

  16. Thanks for catching that sp error, Zeb. We scramble at the speed of light around here sometimes and miss things.

  17. During the last presidential election, I hung around the polling place for a while. I saw volunteers in some of the more subtle Obama t-shirts (no campaign signs within 500 feet of the polls?), a help table set up with a sign with Obama’s circular logo at the bottom, and van loads of drunk, smelly derelicts being herded out of a van into the polls. Their handlers stood behind them in the booths, saying, “no, don’t mark that one” and “mark this here.” A normally conservative precinct when for Obama. HMMM!

  18. Interesting how Zeb tries the classic deflection and attacks the misspelling and ignores the ACTUAL VOTER FRAUD in the Gov’s hand!!!
