In a week when both Lance Armstrong and NEIL ARMSTRONG shared the headlines, we are reminded that true heroes don’t come along every day. Yet as Kitchen Cabinet guest columnist Melanie Strum writes this week… “Eager for blast-off is a nation of unassuming and reluctant heroes — ordinary Americans. Spoken to like adults, and with the facts in hand, we have the “right stuff” to enable another “giant leap for mankind.” If this isn’t our generation’s most important mission, what is? Think Again. Our children need us to be their heroes.

In 2012, President Obama needs to deliver only ONE more electoral state than he won in 2008, to win re-election. But his coalition of “Hope & Change” believers are disenchanted. The all important Latino vote is falling off and The Kitchen Cabinet’s expert on Hispanic affairs explains why: JOBS. There aren’t any, and Latino families know it.
